We found this place by accident and we are so glad we did. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the owners and staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely stay again if we ever get back this way. Great for families and pet friendly.
I do not recommend this campground. It is not family friendly. The campground is pretty but the sites are very small. Also, they charge for everything. If you have any guests that stop by to see you, they charge $4 per person per day. If you have a golf cart, you have to pay by day to drive on their driveways. The staff was very rude and even accused us of lying. I was there with my family for 2 nights. It cost me $120 more than if we would have gone 8 miles up the road and stayed at Natural Springs resort. Profanity is not allowed, however we were neighbors to a seasonal camper and they had parties with a lot of alcohol and used a lot of profane language. They owners of the campground are very money hungry. I will never return to this campground and I do not recommend it.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this campground the last several nights. The guy who owns it was incredibly friendly, very helpful, and the two places we tried in town based on his recommendation were excellent! We went for tent camping and their "primitive camping" sites were perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our particular site was very private-- it felt like just us and the woods! The bathrooms were clean (always my biggest fear). Next time we are in Ohio, we'll be back!
Campground is primarily seasonal sites, but everyone was very welcoming. This is our third visit to the campground. As on previous visits, we felt owners went above and beyond what most private campgrounds do. 28 off air digital TV channels, WIFI hot spot available at office only (used our own cell service at site), store is minimal (but has all the basic supplies needed), sites are level with cement pad, landscaping around campground is above and beyond most, no kids with us but we noted weekend activities taking place for them. If looking for a quiet out of the main stream campground with big city day trips in reach (100 miles), this is a great place.
This appears to cater primarily to seasonal campers and not weekend or short term. Camp sites were nice but extremely small compared to all other campgrounds we've been too. Not only is there not enough space for a secondary tent on a camp site, you're not allowed to have a tent on a camper site, they require using a primitive site and you pay per tent, not campsite. This made it the most expensive place we've been and the staff (owner) was incredibly rude. Accused us of lying to her when we registered. We're definitely never going back.
